Odds, Sods and Creativeness

I'm a photographer, primarily wildlife, but also of people and anything else interesting. I also paint, carve, write and have an inability not to be interested in new things...!!

Writing….

Been a while since I posted, so I thought I ought to just update you a little…!

My writing, has slowed…other work more urgent has to come first, after all, the writing is a hobby for me, and a new one….not to be rushed…it has to age I think…

But, it has developed, i’ve written about 12,000 words or so…more than I ever have before on anything other than thesis etc… The story is growing, I think I know where it is to go next, but I need to revisit what I have written so far, flesh it out, or, more to the point, brass it out…It needs more details, more descriptions to explain the world….

On the plus side, the main characters are growing…and it revolves around books….and airships….and sentience….I think the bad guys are slowly make an appearance too…I’ve been trying to introduce them gradually so the world unfolds as you read rather than being presented in a neat package. (Although, this is me, and my view…a serious writer would and probably will pick holes galore in it….and a good friend has offered to do that….foolish girl!!)

So yeah…back to normal work…oh and starting on the Ren Faire….the English Ren Faire…all new, starting from scratch….oh what joy to start from an idea and grow outwards…heres hoping there will be some interest…!!!

Found The Signal

As you might guess, I’ve found some wifi while out and about! Holiday is great so far, nice and relaxing! Spent a day helping some friends decorate, ME does make people suffer! But, in return they did help with some advice for my writing - which is useful, seeing as I’ve managed to actually start writing fairly regularly…how good it is I’ve yet to discover…but, it’s taking shape and has a vague plot involving a library, airship and flying boat…so far…plus a whole host of extra things yet to find a place in the plot!!

Hints and tips welcomed as I will need to develop lots yet!!

More as and when I can find wifi as 3G is rare enough and still doesn’t let me post blogs here…
